Play Full Ground

Date

May 2017

Location

Pacific Grove, CA

Project type

Interactive Art Installation & Community Gathering

Play Full Ground is a vibrant and immersive art installation that brought people together at a one-night community event showcasing art, food, and music. The event introduced interactive and participatory art to the community, featuring an underwater lounge installation with colorful, playful functional sculptures such as 14’ long whale beanbags and a can of sardines with image projection of the underwater world. This experiential art exhibit invited guests to immerse themselves in a playground-like installation centered around the marine life of Monterey Bay where participants were encouraged to interact with the artwork and engage with other community members, fostering a sense of connection and appreciation for the local ecosystem. This project showcased the intersection of art, education, and community engagement.
